The new Zinc Extraction Process is a zero-waste dust recycling solution where beside zinc also iron and the mineral fraction can be recovered. Der Vortrag gibt einen Überblick und Ausblick zum Thema. 17.30 Uhr „MAKING FEEDSTOCK FROM YOUR INDIVIDUAL MIX OF BY-PRODUCTS AND RAW MATERIALS: A cold, flexible, and rigid process with almost zero CO2 footprint offering ecological and economic benefits“ Nella Janáková Progres Ekotech, s.r.o. EcolBriq® is a cold mechanical compaction process producing hexagonal shaped briqs with excellent properties used as feedstock. The process offers a wide flexibility to its mix of starting materials to meet the requirements as feedstock for the desired operation e.g. blast furnace, cupola, EAF etc. EcolBriq® can be made from on-site by-products mixed with virgin raw materials and turnings. The presentation will show the overall results of a 10.000-ton EcolBriq® run with a tailer made recipe including turnings for increasing the iron content. The results of the blast furnace campaign will be discussed, where the EcolBriq® accounted for 8.6% of the total burden.
